Morley Appointed MiHIA CEO

The Michigan Health Information Alliance (MiHIA) has named Kim Morley of Roscommon as its new chief executive officer. Morley, formerly Midwest regional business manager for Mayo Clinic Health Solutions, will be responsible for the overall leadership of MiHIA.

Morley’s appointment as CEO follows MiHIA’s recent incorporation, which enables the organization to operate as an independent legal entity. She will work to ensure fulfillment of MiHIA’s responsibilities as a Charter Value Exchange (CVE) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. CVEs are community-based, multi-stakeholder cooperative efforts at the forefront of transforming health care at the local level.

In another key responsibility, Morley will oversee Achieving the Triple Aim in Geographic Regions, an initiative of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI).  IHI selected MiHIA to lead the east central Michigan region in the initiative, targeting health care delivery at the regional level by focusing on the three dimensions of the Triple Aim: Population Health, Experience of Care and Cost of Care.

In her previous role, Morley represented Mayo Clinic in its efforts to form partnerships and extend its medical expertise to organizations across the country.  She has had extensive experience in the health and productivity field including roles with the Baylor Center for Health Promotion, Fort Worth Metropolitan YMCA, Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems and Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals.

Morley graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in corporate health.
